Griminish Harbour
Griminsh Harbour is a tiny fishing port the northern coast of the Isle of North Uist. Rarely visited by hoards of people, the post is filled with fishing nets, lobster pots as well as a landing craft.
In Bulldog Five, the landing craft gets a mention along with the tiny harbour. The beach where Captain Keast is ejected from the Montrose launch is a fabulous stretch of sand looking onto one of the most beautiful but hidden corners on the island.
The white sandy beach that fills the North Uist side of the channel between the islands of North Uist and Vallay.
As said in the book, the entrance from the sea can be treacherous, with hidden reefs and sandbars
