RAF Benbecula
RAF Benbecula was an actual RAF base and flew bombers out during World War Two. After the war, the military stayed on the base a long time before the airport was handed over to civilian control and is now known as Benbecula Airport.
As I type, the old military building are in the process of being torn down sadly, but the airport still exists. In the book, Morgan is charged with renaming the base as RAF Benbecula once again, relatives of Bulldog Five are flown in along with a Royal guest nobody wanted.
